Module One will be comprised of a Christian Basics course. 

    • This module will be taught from January 29-31, 2007
    • We will use the ‘Christianity Explored’ course material developed by All Souls Church in London for this section translated and adapted appropriately for each context.  This would help leaders to know the basics of their own faith but also give them the materials to lead others into deeper understanding.

    Module Two will be a Course in Christian Leadership

    • This module will be taught from March 26-28, 2007
    • In this module we will explore the issue of ‘calling’ in the Christian life as basic to our identity as Christian people.  We will also explore the uniqueness of Christian leadership as a calling to servanthood and the enabling of others.

    Module Three will be a course on Basic Church History & Church Administration. 

    • This module will be taught from August 27-29, 2007
    • This module will  include an exploration of  various church traditions to gain a better understanding of both the differences and commonalities within the ecumenical family
    • It would also include an exploration of how the church should and can relate to the wider community regarding issues of service, advocacy and peace and justice. In this section we would explore the issues identified as common concerns for the ecumenical family in the Mekong sub region:  HIV/AIDS, relations between church and state, Human Trafficking, migration, the rights of women and children and relations with people of other religious traditions.

    Module Four will be comprised of a  course on Pastoral Care

    • This module will be taught from October 29-31, 2007
    • This module  will equip lay leaders with an understanding of good pastoral care including -
        1. basic counseling
        2. visitation methods
        3. how to be effective and regular intercessors for their people
    • It would also include an exploration of caring for those living with HIV/AIDS as an immediate concern in our region and specific communities

    Module Five will be a course on Basic Bible Study and Teaching

    • This module will be taught from December 3-5, 2007
    • This section would include material concerning:
    • Bible study methods (basic hermeneutics)
    • Evangelism and relating with those who have different beliefs (inter-religious dialogue and interaction)
    • Basic homiletics
    • Teaching a basics course
